Who started MCCNA and why?
In fall 2025, residents along Fairway Drive organized a community meeting to inform Marin Country Club Estates homeowners about the Marin County Open Space District’s proposed plans for development of the nearby open space known as Buck Gulch Falls.
The plans included significant trail improvements and construction to provide expanded access to the area, including accessibility enhancements to the waterfall site.
Following the meeting, many of the approximately 100 homeowners in attendance recognized the value of a neighborhood association in facilitating community connection, information sharing, and, as needed, representation of community interests. In early 2026, about 20 residents gathered to discuss organizing such a group, and the Marin Country Club Neighborhood Association (MCCNA) is the outcome of that effort.
In spring 2026, all households in the Marin Country Club Estates neighborhood were invited to attend the association’s initial community meeting.
