OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The Marin Country Club Neighborhood Association* (MCCNA) includes approximately 450 homes located in a quiet valley on Novato’s southern edge, known as Marin Country Club Estates. Mature trees and varied architecture define the character of the neighborhood, where neighbors connect, young families raise children alongside retirees, and residents enjoy a mild climate with convenient access to health care and recreation.

The neighborhood extends through a green valley shaped by the Arroyo de San Jose, a tributary of Novato Creek. Its main entrances, Fairway Drive and Country Club Drive, border the privately owned Marin Country Club golf course and provide scenic views of surrounding hills and easy access to nearby trails.

Fairway Drive is a popular route for pedestrians and cyclists, with residents walking, jogging, and gathering throughout the day. At its end, Buck Gulch Falls flows during the winter months and attracts hikers of all ages. Additional trailheads connect to nearby open space, including routes linking Ignacio Valley Preserve to the Bay Area Ridge Trail.

Country Club Drive provides access to Marin Golf and Country Club and connects to residential streets offering expansive valley views and additional trail access to the north.

Both public and private schools are located nearby, and Novato Community Hospital and Fire Station 64 provide essential services. Shopping and dining options are available at Pacheco Plaza, Hamilton Marketplace, and Vintage Oaks, while downtown Novato offers additional retail and dining destinations, including Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

Convenient transportation options connect the neighborhood to surrounding areas. Nearby highways provide access north, south, and east, while local roads connect directly to downtown Novato, West Marin, and Petaluma. Public transportation options, including SMART rail and the Marin Airporter, provide access to regional and airport destinations.

Residents of Marin Country Club Estates often establish long-term roots, contributing to a stable and connected community. MCCNA’s mission is to support and strengthen the neighborhood’s character and the relationships that define it.
